Target intelligence / Profile preview
Mediator complex subunit 15 pseudogene 9 (MED15P9) is a non-protein coding pseudogene located on human chromosome 2. Although its sequence resembles the functional gene MED15, a subunit of the mediator transcriptional coactivator complex, MED15P9 does not encode a functional protein and is regarded as biologically inactive. Commonly referenced as CCDC74B-AS1 or MED15P2, it does not play known roles in cell signaling, disease, or therapeutic intervention.
