Target intelligence / Profile preview
MAGE-A3 is a cancer-testis antigen frequently expressed in a variety of malignancies but with highly restricted expression in normal adult tissues. Its overexpression promotes cell proliferation and survival through mechanisms such as TP53 suppression. It serves as a prognostic marker and a target for immunotherapeutic strategies, including vaccines and engineered T-cell therapies.
Targeted by therapeutic vaccines and engineered T-cell therapies (TCRs or CARs) specific for HLA-restricted epitopes derived from the antigen.
