Overview

Melanoma antigen family B10 (MAGEB10) is a member of the MAGE cancer/testis antigen family, normally restricted to testicular tissue but abnormally activated in various tumors[2][5]. Its protein assists in cellular processes related to proliferation and differentiation, and members of the MAGE family are often implicated in oncogenesis, promoting tumorigenic pathways by reprogramming gene regulatory circuits, impacting apoptosis, and genomic stability[2][4][5]. MAGEB10 is of considerable interest for cancer immunotherapeutic strategies and as a biomarker, although therapeutic interventions remain investigational and may present safety challenges due to antigen expression in non-cancerous germline tissue[4].
