Target intelligence / Profile preview
Melanoma Antigen Family C2 (MAGEC2) is a cancer/testis antigen that is normally expressed only in testis but is aberrantly expressed in various tumors, including melanoma and hepatocellular carcinoma. It enhances ubiquitin ligase activity and promotes tumor growth and invasion, making it a potential target for cancer immunotherapy.
Enhances ubiquitin ligase activity of RING-type zinc finger-containing E3 ubiquitin-protein ligases.
