Membrane-spanning 4-domains subfamily A member 13 (MS4A13) is a protein-coding gene and a member of the membrane spanning 4-domains (MS4A) protein family, which features four transmembrane domains[1][5][8]. MS4A13 is predicted to be involved in signal transduction, possibly as part of a multimeric receptor complex[1][6][8]. It is expressed predominantly in the testis, suggesting a role in male reproductive functions or spermatogenesis, but knockout mouse studies indicate it is not essential for male fertility[2]. Disease associations include a reported link with familial hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, but there is currently no evidence that it acts as a direct therapeutic target or that it has notable drug interactions or biomarker utility[1][10].
