Target intelligence / Profile preview
Merkel cell polyomavirus (MCPyV) large T antigen (LT) and small T antigen (sT) are viral oncoproteins expressed in Merkel cell carcinoma (MCC). LT disrupts Rb function to promote cell cycle progression, while sT enhances oncogenesis and inhibits immune responses. Targeting these antigens is a promising therapeutic strategy for MCC.
Inhibition of Rb, Interference with NF-κB signaling, Stabilization of c-MYC/cyclin E
