Target intelligence / Profile preview
Mesenchymal precursor cells (MPCs) are early progenitors of the mesenchymal cell lineage, closely related to mesenchymal stem/stromal cells (MSCs). They are multipotent stromal cells capable of differentiating into various cell types and modulating inflammatory pathways and immune responses in damaged or diseased tissues through secretion of cytokines, growth factors, extracellular vesicles (EVs), and direct cell-cell interactions. They exhibit low immunogenicity allowing for allogeneic transplantation.
Immunomodulation via cytokine secretion, EV/microRNA release, and direct immune cell modulation.
