Metabotropic glutamate receptor 1 (mGluR1) is a G protein-coupled receptor with seven transmembrane domains. It plays a role in modulating synaptic transmission and neuronal excitability in the CNS, as well as angiogenesis and tumor progression in peripheral tissues.
