Target intelligence / Profile preview
MIA2 antisense RNA 1 (MIA2-AS1) is a long non-coding RNA gene transcribed antisense to the MIA2 gene locus. It belongs to the lncRNA molecular class and is not a protein-coding gene, nor is it a classical receptor, enzyme, or transporter. MIA2-AS1 has been identified in gene-disease databases as associated with rheumatoid arthritis but has not been established as a direct therapeutic target. Its function is presumed to involve regulatory roles typical of lncRNAs, possibly in immune processes, but clinical targeting or biomarker use is unestablished[3].
Not applicable; no drugs are known to target this molecule.
