MIR1185-2 has been identified as consistently downregulated in plasma/serum samples from subjects with mild cognitive impairment, and its predicted mRNA targets link it to multiple cellular functions and disease-relevant molecular pathways, including FoxO, PI3K-Akt, MAPK, Hippo, TGF-beta, and Toll-like receptor signaling. MIR1185-2 is thus a potential molecular biomarker and therapeutic target in neurology and oncology.
