MicroRNA 1277 (miR-1277) is a short, non-coding RNA molecule classified as a microRNA. MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are about 20–24 nucleotides long and act primarily by binding to messenger RNAs (mRNAs) to regulate gene expression at the post-transcriptional level, typically through mRNA degradation or translational repression[1][2][3][4]. miR-1277 is a member of the human miRNome and can be referenced as hsa-miR-1277 or MIR1277.
