microRNA 1290 is a small non-coding RNA transcribed from the MIR1290 gene (chromosome 1p36.13). Its canonical mature sequence (MIMAT0005880) consists of 19 nucleotides. miR-1290 post-transcriptionally regulates multiple genes, including oncogenes and tumor suppressors (e.g., SOCS4, GSK3, BCL2, SCAI, INPP4B).
