Target intelligence / Profile preview
The microRNA 17–92 cluster (miR-17-92) is a highly conserved polycistronic microRNA gene cluster that encodes six to seven individual mature miRNAs. It is known for its critical roles in development, cell proliferation, apoptosis, and disease processes such as cancer and neurological disorders. It functions by post-transcriptionally repressing target mRNAs.
Post-transcriptional repression of target mRNAs via binding to complementary sequences (primarily within the 3' UTRs)
