**MicroRNA 3150b (MIR3150B)** is a small (20–24 nucleotide) non-coding RNA classified as a microRNA (miRNA) that regulates gene expression post-transcriptionally, primarily by binding to target mRNAs and causing their translational repression or destabilization[1]. The MIR3150B gene gives rise to mature miRNAs, most notably miR-3150b-3p, which can modulate various biological processes by targeting specific mRNAs for gene silencing. MIR3150B has been implicated in several cancers, including non-small cell lung carcinoma, where it is believed to inhibit cell proliferation[6], and in diffuse large B-cell lymphoma, where its expression may serve as a biomarker for disease subtype and prognosis[5]. Like other miRNAs, it is generated from a stem-loop precursor via the action of Drosha and Dicer enzymes before participating in regulatory complexes that modulate gene expression. The gene does not encode a protein and currently has no known drug inhibitors or targeted therapies, but its disease association suggests possible utility as a biomarker or indirect therapeutic target[1][5][6].
