Overview

MicroRNA 3190 (MIR3190) is a predicted member of the microRNA family in humans. MicroRNAs are small, non-coding RNAs (~21–23 nucleotides) that regulate gene expression post-transcriptionally, frequently by binding the 3’ untranslated regions (UTRs) of messenger RNAs and interfering with their translation into proteins or causing mRNA degradation[1][2][3]. While many microRNAs have established roles in development, cell differentiation, disease, and serve as potential biomarkers or therapeutic targets, there is currently no evidence that MIR3190 is experimentally validated or studied for biological function, disease association, or drug targeting. As such, MIR3190 is recognized as a predicted, uncharacterized miRNA locus. Further investigation and validation are required to determine its molecular or clinical relevance.
