MicroRNA 3199-2 is a small, non-coding RNA molecule belonging to the class of microRNAs, which are involved in the regulation of gene expression at the post-transcriptional level. Most microRNAs function by binding to complementary sequences in messenger RNAs, resulting in translational repression or target degradation. MIR3199-2 (hsa-mir-3199-2) has been studied in the context of breast cancer, where its expression is altered between cancerous and non-cancerous tissues and among molecular breast cancer subtypes, suggesting a possible role as a biomarker. However, there is currently no evidence that MIR3199-2 functions as a direct therapeutic target, receptor, enzyme, transporter, or other classical drug target class. No drugs are known to interact specifically with MIR3199-2, and its mechanism pertains to gene regulation rather than traditional pharmacological modulation. The available literature does not associate MIR3199-2 with direct safety or therapeutic concerns
