MicroRNA 3605 is a small (20–24 nucleotides) non-coding RNA transcribed in humans, playing a role in gene expression regulation by binding to complementary sequences in messenger RNAs. It follows canonical miRNA biogenesis: transcribed by RNA polymerase II, processed by Drosha in the nucleus, further processed by Dicer in the cytoplasm, and incorporated into the RNA-induced silencing complex (RISC) for mRNA target recognition and regulation. MIR3605, like other miRNAs, may influence various cellular functions and be implicated in disease pathways, but there is limited direct biological or clinical evidence specific to MIR3605 beyond an association with cone-rod dystrophy 6.
