microRNA 3611 is a member of the human microRNA (miRNA) family. miRNAs are small, single-stranded, non-coding RNA molecules (typically 21–23 nucleotides) that regulate gene expression at the post-transcriptional level by binding to complementary sequences on target messenger RNAs (mRNAs), leading to gene silencing by degradation or inhibition of translation[1][3][5]. miRNAs collectively play critical roles in diverse biological processes, including cell proliferation, apoptosis, differentiation, immune response, and disease pathogenesis, especially in cancer and cardiovascular disease[1][3][6][7]. However, as of now, there are no published data specifically describing the biological function, disease association, drug interactions, or biomarker utility for microRNA 3611. This miRNA is annotated in reference databases by sequence, but its clinical or functional significance has not been established.
