In cancer, miR-374b generally acts as a tumor suppressor, inhibiting cell growth and promoting apoptosis—specifically demonstrated in non-small cell lung cancer, colon cancer, and other malignancies, by targeting genes such as FOXP1, Hes1, JAM-2, and others[1][4][6][7]. Levels of miR-374b have been proposed as a prognostic and predictive biomarker for several diseases, and its modulation may hold therapeutic promise, although no drugs currently directly target this microRNA in clinical use.
