MicroRNA 378d-2 is a member of the miR-378 family, which is a group of small, highly conserved non-coding RNAs present in many tissues. miR-378 family members regulate gene expression by binding to the 3' untranslated region of mRNAs in a sequence-specific manner, resulting in mRNA degradation or translational repression[2][4]. However, explicit references to MIR378D2 (microRNA 378d-2) in mainstream scientific databases and publications are extremely limited or absent; literature focuses on more well-studied isoforms within the miR-378 family, such as miR-378a. There is no evidence for "microRNA 378d-2" (MIR378D2) as a distinct, widely-recognized gene or target in current standard scientific databases and literature. The miR-378 family, however, is thoroughly characterized and relevant to several diseases[4][5].
