microRNA 3910-1 (MIR3910-1) is a small non-coding RNA molecule of approximately 22–24 nucleotides, classified as a human microRNA involved in RNA silencing and post-transcriptional regulation of gene expression. Like other microRNAs, MIR3910-1 acts by binding to partially complementary sequences in the 3' untranslated regions of specific target mRNAs, promoting their degradation or inhibiting their translation. It has been implicated in modulating signaling pathways relevant to cancer: notably, miR-3910 can activate Yes-associated protein (YAP) signaling by targeting and suppressing MST1, thereby promoting the growth and migration of hepatocellular carcinoma cells. While it has not been established as a direct therapeutic target or drug receptor, alterations in MIR3910-1 expression may serve as molecular biomarkers in cancer classification and possibly for patient selection in future therapeutic approaches. More broadly, abnormalities in miRNA expression—including MIR3910-1—have been linked with tumorigenesis, cell proliferation, and other disease processes, reflecting a key regulatory function in cellular homeostasis.
