Its circulating form, particularly miR-423-5p, is often encapsulated in extracellular vesicles, conferring stability in serum and making it a candidate biomarker for tissue injury and developmental monitoring[2][4]. Currently, there are no direct drugs targeting hsa-miR-423, but its regulatory influence on disease pathways is an area of ongoing research for potential therapeutic modulation[2][4].
