MicroRNA 4255 is a small non-coding RNA (typically 20–24 nucleotides) expressed in Homo sapiens. Like other miRNAs, it is transcribed as a precursor and processed by Drosha and Dicer enzymes into its mature form, participating in gene regulation primarily by binding to the 3' untranslated region of target messenger RNAs to suppress their expression. To date, nothing indicates it is used as a direct therapeutic target, nor are there disease or drug interactions specifically assigned to this molecule[6].
