MicroRNA 4263 (MIR4263) is a short, non-coding RNA molecule that belongs to the microRNA (miRNA) family, which regulates gene expression after transcription by affecting mRNA stability and translation efficiency[1][3]. Like other mammalian miRNAs, MIR4263 is transcribed by RNA polymerase II, processed by Drosha and Dicer ribonucleases, and incorporated into the RNA-induced silencing complex (RISC) to mediate gene silencing by binding mostly to the 3' untranslated regions of target mRNAs[1][2][3]. MIR4263 has been associated in the literature with motion sickness, but detailed functional or drug interaction data remain lacking[1]. There are no known drugs that specifically target MIR4263, and its utility as a biomarker or direct therapeutic target has not been established.
