MicroRNA 4302 (MIR4302) is a small non-coding RNA molecule found in humans that functions primarily as a post-transcriptional regulator of gene expression. MicroRNAs regulate gene expression by binding to complementary sequences on target messenger RNAs (mRNAs), usually resulting in translational repression or target degradation[3][7]. They are involved in a wide range of biological processes, including cell proliferation, differentiation, apoptosis, and survival[6]. While many microRNAs are implicated in human diseases (notably cancer[5]), there is currently no direct evidence, based on available sources, that MIR4302 itself is considered a therapeutic target, nor are there documented interacting drugs, mechanisms of action, or biomarker roles for patient stratification. The designation "microRNA 4302," "MIR4302," "hsa-mir-4302" and similar aliases reflect standard miRNA nomenclature, where "hsa" refers to Homo sapiens.
