01

Overview

microRNA 4452 (MIR4452) is a member of the human microRNA family—short, single-stranded, non-coding RNAs about 21–23 nucleotides in length that regulate gene expression at the post-transcriptional level. microRNAs generally function by binding to complementary sequences in target messenger RNAs (mRNAs), leading to mRNA degradation or inhibition of translation, and have broad roles in regulating cellular processes such as differentiation, proliferation, apoptosis, and stress responses. While many microRNAs have important roles in health and disease, there is currently no specific functional characterization, disease association, or pharmacological relevance for microRNA 4452 in the peer-reviewed literature or main biological databases.
