MicroRNA 4472-1 (miR-4472-1) is a small non-coding RNA molecule involved in the post-transcriptional regulation of gene expression. It is upregulated in highly metastatic breast cancer and correlates with larger tumor size and advanced disease stage. miR-4472-1 promotes cancer cell proliferation and metastasis primarily by directly targeting and downregulating Repulsive guidance molecule A (RGMA), a known suppressor of metastasis.
