MicroRNA 4486 (miR-4486) is a human microRNA, a short non-coding RNA molecule (20–24 nucleotides) involved in the post-transcriptional regulation of gene expression; it functions by binding target mRNAs, resulting in either translational inhibition or mRNA degradation through the RNA-induced silencing complex (RISC)[1][3].
