Target intelligence / Profile preview
microRNA 4539 (MIR4539) is a human microRNA gene encoding a small non-coding RNA that is processed into a ~22 nucleotide mature microRNA. Like other microRNAs, MIR4539 is presumed to regulate gene expression primarily via base-pairing with complementary sequences in mRNA transcripts, leading to mRNA degradation or inhibition of translation. There is currently no published literature identifying specific biological functions, target genes, or disease relevance for MIR4539, and it is not recognized as a direct target of drugs, nor as a therapeutic target. It is catalogued in miRBase and other microRNA reference databases as a recognized human microRNA.
