Overview

Mechanism of action

MIR4664 operates as a microRNA, binding in a sequence-specific manner to messenger RNA (mRNA) targets (typically the 3' untranslated region), leading to suppression of gene expression either through: - Inhibition of translation, - Deadenylation and mRNA degradation, - (Very rarely) Direct mRNA cleavage.
