MicroRNA 4674 (MIR4674)

Target
MIR4674
Molecular classification
MicroRNA, Non-coding RNA
01

Overview

MicroRNA 4674 is a short (20–24 nucleotides) non-coding RNA molecule belonging to the microRNA class[5]. Like other microRNAs, it is produced by sequential cleavage of a longer primary transcript (pri-miRNA) by Drosha and Dicer enzymes, resulting in a mature miRNA that can base-pair imperfectly with target mRNAs, primarily leading to translational inhibition or mRNA destabilization[5][3][7]. MicroRNAs regulate extensive gene networks and affect various cellular processes such as proliferation, differentiation, apoptosis, and intracellular signaling, but specific biological roles, disease associations, or direct targeting drugs of MIR4674 remain uncharacterized. Genomic identifiers for MIR4674 include HGNC:41729, NCBI Gene:100616301, Ensembl:ENSG00000265181, and miRBase:hsa-mir-4674[5].
