MicroRNA 4752 (miR-4752, MIR4752, hsa-mir-4752) is a member of the microRNA (miRNA) family, which are endogenous, small, non-coding RNA molecules that regulate gene expression post-transcriptionally, mainly by binding to the 3′ untranslated regions (3′ UTRs) of target mRNAs. This usually results in mRNA degradation or inhibition of translation, contributing to fine-tuning of protein expression[1][2][5][7]. miRNAs can also indirectly influence gene expression via chromatin remodeling or modulation of DNA methylation[1][2][5]. miR-4752 itself is annotated in miRNA databases and follows the conventions of human miRNA nomenclature but there is no available evidence for direct therapeutic or diagnostic relevance, specific gene targets, or disease association with this particular microRNA at this time in the available literature[1][2][3][4][5][7].
