MicroRNA 4753 (MIR4753) is a small non-coding RNA molecule (microRNA) that regulates gene expression post-transcriptionally, most commonly by binding to complementary sequences in target messenger RNAs (mRNAs) and causing gene silencing through translational inhibition or mRNA degradation. MIR4753 is part of the large family of microRNAs (miRNAs), which are found in animals and plants and play vital roles in regulation of diverse cellular processes. While general functions of miRNAs in cancer, development, and disease are well-documented, specific functional annotations or interacting molecules for MIR4753 remain limited. MIR4753 has been associated in gene-disease mapping with conditions such as brucellosis and rectal benign neoplasm and is included in large-scale cancer tissue classification studies as part of miRNA expression signatures[4][6][1]. There are currently no known drug interactions or targeted therapies specific to MIR4753.
