Overview

microRNA 4756 (MIR4756) is a small, non-coding RNA molecule in humans belonging to the microRNA (miRNA) family[7]. Like other microRNAs, it regulates gene expression by binding to target messenger RNAs (mRNAs), leading to their degradation or inhibition of translation[5][6][7]. MIR4756 is transcribed as a short RNA of approximately 20–24 nucleotides and is annotated as hsa-mir-4756 in human genome references[7]. Although the specific biological processes and disease associations for MIR4756 are not well characterized in the literature, the microRNA class is generally involved in numerous cellular processes including post-transcriptional gene regulation and may have roles in cell differentiation, proliferation, apoptosis, and homeostasis[6][9][13]. No drugs are currently known to specifically interact with MIR4756, nor is it established as a direct therapeutic target.
