MicroRNA 4766 (MIR4766) is a small non-coding RNA gene expressed in humans[1]. As a member of the microRNA family, it regulates the stability and translation of messenger RNAs (mRNAs), usually through imperfect base pairing, resulting in either translational inhibition or mRNA destabilization[1][4].
