Target intelligence / Profile preview
microRNA 4778 (MIR4778) is a predicted human microRNA, part of the non-coding RNA family whose generic role is post-transcriptional regulation of gene expression through RNA silencing and mRNA destabilization. For most characterized microRNAs, this involves binding to the 3' untranslated region (UTR) of target mRNAs, resulting in either translational repression or mRNA degradation. There is no evidence of microRNA 4778 being evolutionarily conserved, expressed, functionally significant, or associated with any biological or disease role. It is not considered a validated molecular target, biomarker, or therapeutic focus.
