microRNA 4794 (MIR4794, also known as hsa-mir-4794) is a small, non-coding RNA molecule belonging to the microRNA family. MicroRNAs are single-stranded RNA molecules of approximately 21–23 nucleotides in length involved in post-transcriptional regulation of gene expression, typically by binding to target mRNAs and causing their degradation or blocking translation[3][5]. While many microRNAs play critical roles in cellular processes such as proliferation, differentiation, apoptosis, and development, there is currently no published functional, disease, or pharmacological data specific to MIR4794. This suggests that its biological significance, molecular interactions, and any relevance as a potential therapeutic target remain to be elucidated.
