Overview

microRNA 5700 (MIR5700) is a single-stranded, noncoding RNA molecule, part of the microRNA family found in humans. MicroRNAs are processed from precursor hairpin molecules by the enzymes Drosha and Dicer, then incorporated into the RNA-induced silencing complex (RISC) to regulate gene expression typically by binding to the 3′ untranslated region of target mRNAs, leading to translation repression or mRNA degradation[2][3][1]. Individual microRNA family members control diverse biological pathways, but there are currently no published data specifying the targets, biological roles, tissue-specific expression, or disease relevance of MIR5700. If you require structured data for a microRNA with established biological roles, disease associations, or therapeutic relevance, alternative, better-characterized microRNAs should be considered.
