MicroRNA 575 (MIR575) is a small, non-coding RNA (miRNA) found in humans that regulates gene expression at the post-transcriptional level by binding to the 3′ untranslated regions of target mRNAs, thus influencing mRNA stability and translation. MIR575 is involved in various cellular processes including proliferation, migration, and apoptosis, and acts as an oncogene in several cancers by targeting genes such as PTEN and BLID. It is also associated with diseases such as lupus nephritis and arrhythmogenic right ventricular cardiomyopathy. MIR575 is considered a promising therapeutic target and biomarker in oncology, although miRNA-targeted drugs are still largely in development. Therapeutic interventions targeting MIR575 must be carefully designed to avoid unintended systemic effects due to the widespread regulatory influence of miRNAs.
