Serum or tissue levels of miR-601 have been studied as candidate biomarkers for cancer diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment response, especially in lung cancer[2][3]. As a member of the highly conserved microRNA family, miR-601 is transcribed from the MIR601 locus and represents a potential therapeutic target for antisense or oligonucleotide-based strategies, although no drugs are currently approved for direct targeting[7][2][5][6].
