Overview

MicroRNA 6127 (MIR6127; hsa-mir-6127) is a human microRNA—part of a family of small, single-stranded, non-coding RNAs about 21–23 nucleotides in length which regulate gene expression post-transcriptionally, typically by binding to mRNA targets and inhibiting their translation or promoting their degradation[2][3][4]. The regulatory and disease-relevant functions of many microRNAs are actively studied and some are established therapeutic targets or biomarkers, but currently there is little specific published data about the biological role, disease associations, or drug interactions for MIR6127[3]. Existing references indicate miR-6127 may be listed in catalogs of newly identified microRNAs, but full functional annotation and therapeutic relevance remain unreported[3][5].
