Overview

MicroRNA 6134 (MIR6134) is a short, non-coding RNA molecule (approximately 20–24 nucleotides) that regulates gene expression post-transcriptionally in multicellular organisms[1][6]. Like other microRNAs, MIR6134 is transcribed as part of a primary transcript, undergoes sequential processing by the Drosha and Dicer enzymes, and is loaded into the RNA-induced silencing complex (RISC)[1]. Once incorporated into RISC, MIR6134 binds target mRNAs via imperfect base pairing, predominantly leading to translational inhibition or destabilization of target mRNAs[1][7]. No direct evidence was found indicating MIR6134 functions as a canonical therapeutic target, or that it is currently associated with specific approved diagnostic, prognostic, or therapeutic roles in human disease. This distinguishes the entry from better-characterized microRNAs with known disease relevance. MIR6134, or MicroRNA 6134, is a human non-coding RNA involved in post-transcriptional regulation of gene expression[1][6][7]. Its specific biological and disease associations, as well as drug interactions, are currently unknown.
