It also targets transcription factors such as Ying Yang 1 (YY1), thereby influencing cell proliferation, invasion, and other cancer-associated behaviors[1][3]. Diseases associated with MIR635 include ovarian cancer and potentially other malignancies, but as of now, there are no specific drugs known to interact directly with miR-635, nor is it classified as a therapeutic target like a classic receptor, enzyme, or transporter[3].
