Like other microRNAs, it is transcribed by RNA polymerase II as part of primary transcripts (pri-miRNAs), processed to precursor miRNA (pre-miRNA) by Drosha, and subsequently to mature miRNA by Dicer. The mature miRNA is incorporated into the RISC complex, where it binds target mRNAs through imperfect base pairing, mainly resulting in translational inhibition or mRNA destabilization[4]. No disease association, molecular targets, or therapeutic/drug interaction roles are currently reported for MIR6733[4]. In summary, MicroRNA 6733 (MIR6733) is a predicted human microRNA gene with no current evidence supporting its role as a therapeutic target, biomarker, or clinically validated molecule[4].
