Overexpression of miR-6741-3p decreases cell proliferation, promotes apoptosis, and directly targets the oncogene SRSF3, repressing its translation without affecting mRNA levels. The regulation by miR-6741-3p appears to modulate oncogenic signaling pathways, especially the ERK/MAPK pathway, and its expression can be upregulated by demethylating agents such as 5-Azacytidine, suggesting an epigenetic component to its regulation. miR-6741 functions as a classical microRNA with no confirmed direct drug interactions or use as a clinical biomarker, but its tumor-suppressive role in cancer highlights its potential therapeutic relevance[1].
