MicroRNA 6747 (MIR6747)

Target
MIR6747
Molecular classification
MicroRNA, Non-coding RNA
01

Overview

MicroRNA 6747 (MIR6747) is a short non-coding RNA molecule (approx. 20-24 nucleotides) that participates in the post-transcriptional regulation of gene expression in human tissues[5]. As with other microRNAs, its principal molecular function involves binding to complementary RNA sequences, resulting in translational repression or target mRNA degradation. The biological and clinical function of microRNA 6747 specifically remains poorly characterized in current literature. However, products such as hsa-miR-6747-5p inhibitors are commercially available, enabling experimental modulation of its activity[6].
