Target intelligence / Profile preview

microRNA 6750 (miR-6750)

Target
miR-6750
Molecular classification
microRNA, non-coding RNA
01

Overview

microRNA 6750 is a small, non-coding RNA that regulates gene expression primarily through post-transcriptional repression. It is found enriched in small extracellular vesicles in healthy individuals compared to patients with nasopharyngeal carcinoma, and its presence is associated with suppression of metastasis, inhibition of angiogenesis, and promotion of anti-tumor immune phenotypes in macrophages. It acts by silencing target genes, notably mannose 6-phosphate receptor (M6PR), and may play a significant role in remodeling the tumor microenvironment. While its molecular function is still being explored, miR-6750 is highlighted as a potential diagnostic and therapeutic marker for cancer progression, especially in NPC.
