Overview

microRNA 6800 (miR-6800, hsa-miR-6800) is a member of the microRNA family, a class of small non-coding RNAs (~22 nucleotides) that post-transcriptionally regulate gene expression by pairing with target mRNAs, often resulting in their degradation or repression of translation. miR-6800 has been identified in circulating extracellular vesicles and is reported in computational and biomarker studies as being differentially expressed in several human cancers such as colorectal, ovarian, and prostate cancer, where it may serve as a diagnostic biomarker for disease subtype classification and early detection[1][2]. There are no direct reports of drugs acting on miR-6800, nor evidence for its use as a druggable therapeutic target. Thus, while it shows potential as a cancer biomarker, it is not a canonical drug target or receptor.
