MicroRNA 6824 (MIR6824) is a human gene that encodes a microRNA—a small, non-coding RNA molecule involved in regulating gene expression after transcription. MicroRNAs are processed from primary transcripts into mature molecules, which are incorporated into the RNA-induced silencing complex (RISC). These microRNAs bind imperfectly to target mRNAs, leading to repression of translation or mRNA destabilization.
