MicroRNA 6836 (MIR6836)

Target
MIR6836
Molecular classification
microRNA (Non-coding RNA)
01

Overview

MicroRNA 6836 is a small, non-coding RNA gene in humans whose mature product functions by regulating gene expression at the post-transcriptional level[5]. It can be detected in serum and is one member of a seven-miRNA signature used in composite indices for the diagnosis of bone and soft tissue sarcomas[1]. However, current evidence indicates that MIR6836 is not used individually for disease classification or as a stand-alone drug target, nor are there known drugs targeting this specific microRNA.
